Telkom Indonesia Posts Strong Financial Performance in Q3 2024
Telkom / PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has concluded the third quarter of 2024 on a positive note, reporting consolidated revenue of Rp112.2 trillion, marking a 0.9% growth compared to the same period last year.
The growth was primarily driven by the Data, Internet & IT Services sector, which saw a 7.2% year-on-year increase, reaching Rp67.9 trillion. The company’s EBITDA stood at Rp56.6 trillion with an EBITDA margin of 50.5%.
Telkom’s performance resulted in a net profit of Rp17.7 trillion with a net profit margin of 15.8%. Meanwhile, operational net profit was recorded at Rp18.6 trillion with an operational net profit margin of 16.6%.
Telkom’s President Director, Ririek Adriansyah, emphasized that the company’s performance reflects its commitment to digital transformation through the 5 Bold Moves strategy amidst industry challenges and increasing market uncertainties.
“We believe that our initiatives will have a positive impact, not only on the company but also on society, the environment, and all stakeholders,” Ririek added.
Telkomsel, a subsidiary of Telkom, also achieved positive revenue growth with strong profitability, reaching Rp85.2 trillion. This marked a 16.4% year-on-year increase, supported by the growth of Digital Business revenue reaching Rp58.8 trillion, a 2.5% year-on-year growth.
Telkomsel maintained its position as a market leader with a total of 158.4 million mobile subscribers and 10.7 million IndiHome subscribers, showing a 9.5% year-on-year growth.
In line with Telkomsel’s commitment to enhancing service quality and reach, the company currently operates 269,066 Base Transceiver Stations, including 219,330 4G BTS and 947 5G BTS.
The company’s data traffic also showed significant growth, with a double-digit increase of 12.4% year-on-year, reaching 14,902,623 TB.
Telkom’s Enterprise segment recorded revenue of Rp15.2 trillion, a 3.8% year-on-year growth driven by Digital Connectivity services such as High-Speed Internet and Digital services supported by e-Payment.
To further boost Telkom’s performance, the company continues to strengthen its capabilities in Cloud, Digital IT Services, and Cybersecurity, including strategic partnerships with global technology players.
In the Wholesale and International segment, the company reported revenue of Rp13.4 trillion, an 8.8% year-on-year growth fueled by digital infrastructure business and international voice wholesale service growth.
In the telecommunications tower business, Mitratel recorded revenue of Rp6.8 trillion, an 8.7% year-on-year growth with tower rental revenue as the main contributor. EBITDA and Net Profit grew by 12.1% and 7.1% year-on-year, respectively.
Telkom’s positive growth in Data Center and Cloud business is evident with revenue reaching Rp1.5 trillion, a 9.8% year-on-year increase.
Overall, Telkom’s strong financial performance and strategic initiatives underscore its position as a leader in digital infrastructure development in Indonesia.
